His childhood was linked to Ajax, the club that would shoot him later to the best European player of the century.
In the game against JVAV Groningen, November 15th 1964 - and wearing number 8 in his shirt -, the legend began, the myth of the best European player of the 20th century. Johan won everything with Ajax: 8 National leagues, 8 Cups, 3 European Cups, 1 Intercontinental Cup and one European Supercup. Johan's popularity and charisma in the Dutch national team reaches its peak at this time. He was awarded Sir of the Dutch Order.
